NEMECYS, in collaboration with the MedSecurance and EnTrust projects, is co-organising a public workshop ‘Towards Addressing Challenges in Cyber Risk Management – Case Studies on the Internet of Medical Things’. The event will take place on 29 April 2025, from 10:00 to 15:00, at Møterom Forum, Forskningsparken – Oslo Science Park, Oslo. Attendance is free, but registration is required by 25 April.
This workshop will bring together cybersecurity, healthcare, and risk management experts to discuss the challenges of securing the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) and explore real-world case studies.
Workshop focus areas
The event will feature interactive discussions, live demonstrations, and networking opportunities, addressing three key topics:
- Cyber Risk Management in Practice – Examining its role in regulatory compliance, the challenges of risk assessment, and strategies for improving communication with decision-makers.
- Balancing Security, Privacy, and Usability – Addressing the trade-offs between cybersecurity, safety, and user experience.
- Cyber Risk Management in IoMT – Exploring risk assessment of connected medical devices, semi-automated risk management, and anomaly detection.
Live demonstration: NEMECYS Project
A key feature of the event will be the Demo ‘New Medical Cybersecurity Assessment and Design Solutions (NEMECYS)’. This demonstration will present cutting-edge tools and methodologies designed within our project to assess and enhance the cybersecurity of medical devices, contributing to a more resilient healthcare system.
Register to attend – registration is required by 25 April.
